Part two

        In the passage, Meusault, the protagonist, who is going to die But he felt clam and free. Albert Camus suggests that everyone have death in someday. Before death, when we know we could not do everything to stop it, just face it. Albert Camus describes by using symbolize. The last night before death he felt calm, and there had no fear around him. “With him gone, I was able to calm down again…I must have fallen sleep, because I woke up with the star in my face.”(122)  Albert Camus used the star to be a symbol, the star represent Meusault‘s feeling. In part one of the story, Camus used the sunlight to show his heavy feeling, when he killed the Arab man. That also makes the comparison between both situations. “So close to death, Maman must have felt free then ready to live it all again...And I felt ready to live it all again too.”(122) Meusault was faced death. He wasn’t scared. He was ready. And his death also connects to his mother, he think when his mother ready to die, her feels was as same as him. If you ready to death, I think there will have no fear around you.

     As a human, our lift could be easy or difficult, could be short or long. And everyone will die in someday, no one know what will happen in the next minute. We only can do is to keep ourselves happy.

The Stranger-part 1

       In the passage when Marie, Meursault’s girl friend. Her proposal married to Meursault. But Meursault felt nothing. Albert Camus suggests that in some people’ eyes, marriage could be serious thing or may not be able to be. But marriage base on love. At least have love between two people. Then marriage could be ever. Camus show this by described how Meursault’s feel and shows he was a person that no emotional, such as a marriage and a parent’s death. Those all did not matter to him, he wasn’t feel grief and happy.

    From the beginning of the passage, “That evening Marie came by to see me and asked me if I wanted to marry her, I said it didn’t make and difference to me and that we could if she want to.”(41) When Marie asked for married, Meursault didn’t felt and surprised and happy. “ I probably didn’t love her”(41) Meursault though he wasn’t love Marie, but she still can marry to her, if she want. He seem like don’t care about how his life going. As we know marriage should base have love between two people. Meursault was the person who have no emotional, even his mother’ death or the girl asked for marry. He still felt nothing.

    “Then she pointed out that marriage was serious thing. I said “No”(42) Marie point out the marriage was serious thing, but Meursault didn’t thinks so. Women also think marriage should be romantic and forever. Marriage is the relationship between two people or two families. Marriage is the promise to each other, to take care of each other. Nut the next sentence “After another moment’ s silence, she mumble that I was peculiar, that was probably why she loved me, nut that one day I may hate her for the same reason.”(42) Marie through there was the reason that why she loved him. To me, I think love is the feeling. If man that I love him, and he dose not love me, and I will never marriage to him.

The Lost Boy-Dave Pelzer

The lost boy by Dave Pelzer, The book was about the boy based on his life from ages 9 to 18/ the character David Pelzer search for the love of a family. His step mother likes the evil. She was tread on him when he was a boy, and the mother calls him “it”. She not took him as a human, then the boy was sun away from home and the country was sent him to the foster care. So the book was about how his life on foster home was and how he feels in his inside.

            From the beginning of book, the mother was treaded the boy like an animal. “I am nine years old, and I have been living like this for years. Every day it’s the same thing. I wake up from sleeping on an old army cot in the garage. Perform the morning chores, and if I’m lucky eat leftover breakfast cereal from my brother.”(P1), the quote shows us about the boy’s life. He got no home. He only sleep in the garage and eat the food that his brother leftover.  He seems to like a dog. In his human life, his mother treads him like animal. His dad tried to help him, but his alcoholic mother control the whole family. After he can not bear anymore, then he run away.

            When the country sent him to the foster home, there have a lot of dear full around him. He feels small. He scared his mother will come to take him back and treads on him. And then he got determination for the other same age kids. “That evening, I couldn’t eat. In bed I rolled back and forth until I sat up clutching my knees. The mother was right. I knew in my heart she would get me back… I cried I knew that moment there was no escape for me.”(p54) the boy was scared his mother takes him back.

            The climax in the book, I think that will be the part about boy becomes 18 years old. He can get out from the foster home. Then he was going to join the air force, before he joins in the Air Forst. His mother gave him a called. “Some how word got to mother and she called me before I reported for basic training her voice wasn’t that of the evil mother… I almost see mommy’s face on the other end of the phone as she cried… we talked for over on hour, and I stained my ear in hopes of hearing the three most important words. I had wanted man to say all of my life.”(P296) after they went to the court, and the mother was regretted what she did to the boy. The boy was tried to forgive his mother. She called because she wants to say sorry to him. The end of the quote said “the three most important words. I had wanted mom to say all of my life.” That tells us the character very want mother’s love and the family love.

            The book was sadness. The boy tried to search the family love. 

College Essay

My name is JieYu Li, I come from China, and I have been in the United States for three years. As a entire newcomer, a difficult part of my life is the language. I remember the first day I came to America. The police was told us the policies about the United States. But I was completely lost in his talking. In that moment I told myself I had to learn English. I want to become a good speaker like that policeman. For me the hard part of my English is reading. When I try to read, my brain seems blank, my throat is seal off. But I know someday I will become more confident.

I’m interesting in Interior Design. I have been interested in those, because no matter where we go, to create a nice environment is important to our life. Have a nice environment that will make people feel more comfortable. No matter how rich or poor that people are, they also want a place belong them. And they may need a warm and comfortable home, when they feel tried. A home is also the place that people can share happy or unhappy. I want to be an interior designer, because I want to give people create their own house. That is my desert.

My dream college is The New England Institute of Act. It is the very professional place to study art. The college owns the excellent equipment. And they got the high quality studio. The students can plan to the other country for their internship; the school also helps the student to find the company to work. That is the very good place to let me study more knowledge about design. So hope I can be a student in The New England Institute of Act.

The third class essay-The Plum Plum Pickers

               The Plum Plum Pickers by Barrio Raymond

In the passage The Plum Plum Pickers, Barrio Raymond suggests that society caste and how difference between two different classes in the community world. The author used imagery exploring and comparison to support his idea. For example “There had to be an end. There had to be. There –trapped. There had to be a way out. Locked. There had to be a respite. Animal. The buckets and the crates kept piling up higher. Brute. He felt alone. Through surrounded by other pickers.  Beast. Though he was perspiring heavily, his shirt was powder dry. Savage.” The protagonist named Manual, he like an animal, work in the whole day. The author choice the word “animal, brute, beast” to show the character work very hard. And the agonist “He was actually the shrewdest, smartest, richest cannibal in the forth countries around.” The author used the word “cannibal” to show that the owner was a evil. They exploring the worker, and he also used “shrewdest, smartest, and richest.” That also gives us a message to know the owner explore people.

       “The hot dry air. The hot dry air sucking every drop of living moisture from his brute body.” “How could anyone know he did to his own people? And the what did the gueros care? So the angle growers and guero executives. Smiling in their cool filtered offices, puffing their elegant thin cigars. Washes their clean blon bloodless dirt less hands of the matter.”  The author set up the compares the two difference classes. How the worker work hard like an animal and how the owner just sit, die and enjoy the things that other people work. The picker work in the whole day. The only got half hour to have lunch the quote showing he work hard and very need something to drink. The author also used the symbol to show that is the worker’s desert. He needs a break. And

The owner sit in the air conditional office. The author make that comparison, because he want to tell us no matter how harel they work , they still not get their value still cheap.

       “The pickers work hard, but the owner still want to explore to them. “Now, I must take two cents from every bucket, I’m sorry. There was miscegenation. Everybody understands. Everybody. The quote telling us that the owner explore to the picker. They work for whole day. Only half hour to take break, but the owner still want to take two cents from their wages.

       In the end of the story, the main character Manuel was against to the owner. “You promised to take nothing.” Manuel heard himself saying. Everyone turned in astonishment to stare at Manuel.” They have to against to the owner they only want to get their money back. That was the owner has to pay to them.

       The author used many comparison in the text to showing how difference between the different class in the community world, and how the rich people explore the poor people. Actually there is a society caste.
